Which file should I upload?
Laser-cut flat sheet or plate — DXF/DWG: a 2D outline with cutouts and holes. STEP/STP: a flat 3D solid is also suitable.
Bent sheet-metal part — STEP/STP: the finished, formed 3D solid with consistent thickness. A flat DXF/DWG does not show the finished bends.
CNC-machined part — STEP/STP: the finished 3D solid, including pockets, holes and machined features.
PDF drawing: supporting dimensions, tolerances and notes. If you only have a PDF, request a manual quote.
STEP and STP are two extensions for the same CAD format. Upload parts at their actual size and confirm dimensions before pricing.
