Match the plate outline and attachment points to the equipment and the surface it will mount to.

Reproduce the specified round-hole pattern for a flat mounting plate. If the design needs adjustment slots or machined features, send those requirements for review.
Position round attachment holes for a sensor, control component, or small equipment assembly.
Create a flat plate with hole locations for the fixture layout you have specified.
Check both sides of the connection. An adapter plate may need one pattern for the equipment and another for the supporting frame or surface.
Define the plate’s width and height. Check the space available around the equipment, including nearby components and access needed for assembly.
Use the required finished hole size from your equipment information or drawing; the nominal bolt diameter alone does not specify the required hole clearance.
Measure between hole centers, horizontally and vertically. Do not substitute the distance between hole edges.
The distance from a hole center to the plate edge differs from the metal remaining between the hole edge and the plate edge. Check which measurement your drawing specifies. Common Plate centers the four-hole pattern; use Custom Part for an offset placement.
Enter Plate width, Plate height, Bolt centers — horizontal, Bolt centers — vertical, and Hole diameter. Four matching holes are positioned automatically.
Choose Rectangle plate. Enter the outside dimensions, then add each hole with its X position, Y position, and diameter. X and Y locate the hole center from the lower-left reference. Check each mounting point, especially when combining equipment and frame patterns.

Rapid CNC Parts cuts flat plates in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Choose the material grade and thickness required for your application from the available quote-tool selections. Review the current material and cutting limits before ordering.
Material and thickness are selected after uploading the file; they are not selected in the part generator. For a required grade, critical tolerance, or finish that is not listed, ask our team for a review.
The generator accepts inches or millimeters and exports the DXF in inches at the same physical size. Check the quote tool’s displayed dimensions before ordering.
The current builder creates supported flat outlines and round through-cut holes. Send slot, countersink, thread, bend, or other special requirements through Support for review before ordering.
You must specify the required material, thickness, and connection details for your application. Rapid CNC Parts manufactures the entered geometry; this workflow does not provide structural engineering, load calculations, or design approval.
Use Custom Part to enter the individual round holes for both patterns. Check their positions, diameters, spacing, and relationship to the plate edges. Any critical fit or tolerance requirements should also be supplied for review.
Stop and check the imported units and outside dimensions against your intended plate. Do not order while the scale is incorrect. Contact Support if the file does not load as expected.
